Saute: a quick method of cooking // Soiree: a party or gathering of friends
“Find something you’re passionate about and keep tremendously interested in it.“
— Julia Child
Saute & Soiree came to life for some very simple reasons: I love good food and wine, I love meeting new people and I love connecting those I encounter.
In 2015, I started a pop up supper club after girlfriends kept begging to actually eat the food I made, versus salivating over the tantalizing pictures I kept posting on Facebook and Instagram. After a fun, successful night, I decided to pursue this passion more formally and the first official Saute & Soiree event was Asian Fusion Night.

About 10 friends came over to my condo and they enjoyed watching me cook up a three course meal that we enjoyed over BYOB beverages. We were also treated to a Sake service by a friend who had spent a great deal of time in Tokyo. (I learned that the host never pours her own sake!)
This adventure started while I lived in Nashville, Tennessee, and in 2016, I moved to Tampa, Florida. After the move (and some disruption) my foodie pursuits slowed a bit. But as Julia so sagely recommends – stick with your passions! I am so happy and serene when I’m in the kitchen. I enjoy cooking amazingly delicious food and keeping it on the healthy side. Most of all, I love sharing and that’s why I’m here — to share my food — and who knows, maybe have a soiree with you soon!
Stay tuned to see where this adventure goes…
Cheers!
Chef Andrea
